A five minute walk takes you to the area called the Mardyke, one of the most famous parts of old Cork especially renowned for its pleasant walk and fine old sporting institutions such as Cork Cricket Club and Sundays Well Boating and Tennis Club. Also adjacent are Cork's International Athletic Track and the famous Mardyke Rugby and Soccer pitch.
